Rutherford County Assessor of Property Rob Mitchell was awarded the 2018 Excellence in Operations award from the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers during the Annual Winter Meeting, Mitchell said in a press release.
The award was presented before the Rutherford County Commission meeting on behalf of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers by the Executive Director Will Denami.
“The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers each year recognizes a single Assessor’s office that reaches the highest levels of service and competency for their community. The Rutherford County Assessor’s office has excelled in innovation and commitment to customer service and is the recipient of this honor in 2018,” Denami said.
The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers (TNAAO) is a professional organization composed of the elected officials serving as Assessors of Property in Tennessee. The TNAAO’s purpose is to work on behalf of the people of our great state to ensure fairness and uniformity in statutes regarding the assessment of property, as well as, to promote excellence through best practices and professionalism amongst those charged with this vital task.
Rutherford County Assessor of Property Rob Mitchell received the award on behalf of the office and said “I am extremely proud of our team in the Assessor’s office. We have an exceptionally talented and dedicated group of folks who want to serve the taxpayers of Rutherford County and we remain dedicated to that focus.
